You’ll revisit each area at least once, and Ellie’s not exactly a speed demon. One thing I did not like about Monster Tale was the backtracking. I personally like this as there are times where I forget where I’ve already been in this map style, and it can be useful to have a guide. It’ll always tell you where to go next and show it on the map. One thing the game does do is handhold, which will either be handy to you or piss you off, depending on what you prefer. I found Monster Tale to be moderately challenging, but never quite as much so as Hatsworth was, so this is obviously aimed at a slightly different audience. As for gameplay, it flows forward in a pleasant manner.
